Cyclobutane carboxylic acid

Cyclobutanecarboxylic Acid is a cyclic organic compound with the chemical formula C4H7COOH. It consists of a cyclobutane ring with one of the carbon atoms in the ring attached to a carboxylic acid functional group. Cyclobutanone oxime can also be hydrolyzed to create it. This is very effective as well as economical to use. Cyclobutanecarboxylic Acid is soluble in organic solvents like ethanol, ether, and chloroform but insoluble in water. In the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds, it serves as an intermediate step.
